S.A.F.E. was established in 1993 by Carroll “Spyke” Henry. As a life-long resident of the District of Columbia, Mr. Henry recognized the need to provide youth with supervised, productive and engaging activities. Mr. Henry’s love of tennis, coupled with the absence of quality and affordable tennis programs for inner city DC youth led to the founding of S.A.F.E.
