The missions of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children state in broad terms the purpose for which the hospital exists. These missions are:
To organize and provide the full range of high quality health care services to all children up to the age of twenty-one who seek care or who are referred to the hospital, as its primary mission.
To organize and maintain teaching programs, which achieve excellence and are conducted in proper balance with the primary mission.
To organize and maintain research programs which achieve excellence and are conducted in proper balance with the primary mission.
To operate and be organized in an efficient and cost-effective manner and in the best interest of the patients, community and the public to whom it is ultimately accountable.
