YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County

The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County envisions a community where every woman and girl is respected as an individual and celebrated for her unique contributions to family and society. We see a time where every woman and girl is secure, fully independent and healthy in body, mind and spirit.

YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County focuses on providing crisis intervention services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This is accomplished through the domestic violence safe house shelter, a 24-hour crisis phone line, counseling services, an Abuse Intervention Program, hospital accompaniment for victims of sexual assault, legal representation of victims who are obtaining peace and protective orders, education and wellness programming and community education and outreach.
