    LISC is America's largest private, non-profit community development intermediary, dedicated to helping Community Development Corporations (CDCs) transform distressed neighborhoods into healthy communities. Founded in 1979, LISC has helped over 2,400 nonprofit community development corporations (CDCs) build more than 158,000 homes and 23 million square feet of commercial space in urban and rural communities across the nation. LISC’s investment of $6 billion in underserved neighborhoods has leveraged an additional $16 billion from public and private sources for affordable housing, economic development, and a range of other community revitalization activities.
