TUMAINI CHILDREN FOUNDATION OF KENYA

Tumaini Children Foundation Is a charity dedicated to providing a future for young victims of HIV/AIDS. Since 2003 Tumaini Children Foundation has offered supportive care to orphaned children in various parts of Kenya.

In Kenya it is a fact that 1 million children have been orphaned by the results of AIDS and about 10% of adult population is infected with AIDS. What I found more frightening here, are the millions of orphaned children who lack access to assistance available to many in developed countries. Public hospitals in Kenya have not enough resources to care for the high numbers of HIV affected and infected orphans. Majority of these children have special medical needs and many have suffered profound medical neglect. Many are malnourished, and demonstrate developmental delays; these children die from neglect within a few months.

Therefore our services help HIV orphands in Kenya by provinding them with shelter food and education services.
