Hoops 4 Hope supports youth and community development in South Africa and Zimbabwe by combining the joy of playing basketball with an effective HIV/AIDS-prevention and life-skills curriculum.
Since 1995, Hoops 4 Hope has used sport as a vehicle for personal and social change and has become a major force in southern Africa's fight against HIV/AIDS. Our exciting programs and innovative curriculum create unique opportunities for young leaders to discuss important and sensitive topics in their lives. Hoops 4 Hope delivers highly cost-effective programs, an effective and replicable HIV prevention model, and every year gives over 10,000 young people in Zimbabwe and South Africa a better chance to beat the odds in ravaged communities.
