City Year Boston

City Year helps students and school succeed. Fueled by national service, City Year AmeriCorps members serve in schools all day, every day, as tutors, mentors, and role models. They partner with teachers and 25 Boston Public Schools to help prepare students with skills and mindsets to thrive and contribute to their community.

City Year AmeriCorps members forge positive, caring relationships with students and help create an environment where students can build on their strengths, take risks in their learning, and feel connected to their school.

The City Year experience provides AmeriCorps members with pathways to career and resources for additional education and other benefits. In addition to earning a living stipend, AmeriCorps members receive ongoing professional development, health insurance, federal student loan deferral, an education award that can be used for tuition or loan repayment, and access to career and scholarship opportunities through the alumni network.
