Our Mission:
The Sunset Park Education in Action Community School is a learning environment where students, parents, and teachers care for each other and the larger community. We encourage learning that is collaborative, self-reflective, rigorous, and socially informed. Students are trusted and challenged as active learners bringing their experiences and questions into the classroom to inspire and direct their studies. We strive to foster in students a desire to continue learning, and skills to affect change in their own lives, their community, and the world beyond.
