At the American Cancer Society our mission is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. For more than 100 years, ACS has been leading the fight against cancer through groundbreaking research, patient support, advocacy, and education.
With a presence in communities across the country, ACS provides:
