Southie Trees is an environmental organization committed to maintain, protect, and increase tree cover in South Boston. Founded by Tech Networks of Boston, and now run by the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation, Southie Trees seeks to educate community members on the benefits that trees provide for the neighborhood. Through education and outreach initiatives, planting and mulching projects, and tree surveys, our organization is able to create permanence for the program and develop an environmental future for South Boston. By preserving and maintaining the limited tree cover in South Boston, Southie Trees can ensure that everyone has access to all of the benefits of trees.
