Camden Canals and Narrowboat Association is a community charity based in the heart of London. We preserve and operate historic narrowboats, using them to bring people together, celebrate our waterways, and share the unique experience of life on the canal.

Our work is all about community. We provide affordable and welcoming trips for schools, youth groups, families, and community organisations - helping people connect with each other, discover London’s heritage, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of being on the water.

As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a friendly team keeping this tradition alive. Opportunities range from crewing our historic boat and supporting community trips, to helping with boat maintenance, events, fundraising, and outreach. Whether you have specialist skills or just a willingness to get involved, you’ll find a rewarding role with us.
