MISSION
GenOne partners with talented, first-generation students from underserved communities, helping them successfully navigate to and through college.
- We identify high performing, rising seventh graders attending Title I public middle schools in Charlotte and involve students and their families in year-round academic and experiential college preparatory programming lasting through high school graduation.
- We prepare students to be “scholarship-ready” by junior year and provide intensive support on standardized testing, financial aid, applications, scholarship searches and career planning.
- We cultivate social and emotional growth through cohort experiences/field trips, after school clubs, life skills training and mentoring relationships through the Navigator program.
- We support Scholars with comprehensive services through college graduation to ensure they gain meaningful employment and graduate within six years.
