Our mission is to dismantle barriers to the outdoors by providing adaptive equipment and creating fully inclusive, accessible recreational spaces. We are dedicated to restoring the freedom of nature to individuals of all abilities, ensuring that every adventurer is welcomed with dignity, empowered to explore without limits, and afforded the life-changing opportunity to connect with the wild.

At Wheelable Wilderness Inc., we believe that the restorative power of nature should not be limited by physical barriers. Founded on the principle that the outdoors belongs to everyone, we are working to bridge the gap between outdoor recreation and accessibility.

Our work is centered on four core pillars:

• Inclusive Infrastructure: We are currently developing Kentucky’s first fully all-inclusive campground, where every site is designed from the ground up to be ADA accessible, ensuring that no adventurer is ever turned away due to a lack of proper facilities.
• Adaptive Access: We are proud to operate Kentucky’s first and only track wheelchair lending program, providing the specialized equipment necessary to navigate rugged terrain and explore the wilderness with confidence.
• Empowerment through Nature: We recognize that time spent in the wild is vital for human identity and peace of mind. Our programs are designed to restore that connection, empowering individuals of all abilities to reclaim their independence in the outdoors.
• Advocating for Dignity: We are fundamentally changing the status quo. By providing accessible gear and inclusive camping solutions, we ensure that every visitor is treated with the dignity they deserve, eliminating the indignity of inaccessible public lands.
