The Baltimore Folk Music Society was founded in 1975 as a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to teaching, preserving, and promoting the music, dance, and traditions of the American people.
Acerca de
BFMS hosts weekly contra dances and English Country dances in Baltimore City. We also host regular song swaps and promote folk music and dance events hosted by our members. Celebrating 50 years in 2025, BFMS promotes joy and connection through folk music and dance.
