A nonprofit clearinghouse and educational foundation for progressives founded in 1989 for the purpose of consolidating networking efforts, reducing duplication of efforts, presenting integrative solutions, and demonstrating the interconnectedness of various issues. It specializes in environmental, justice and peace issues. We acquired the domain macronet.org in 1993. Our online addable, searchable, and self-serve directory is online free. It includes more than 6000 listings -- national and international -- of organizations, periodicals, businesses, and other extensive resource guides. Our 492 page handbook is available for free with a donation of $4 for S&H. It includes almost 6000 listings and 200 articles from the alternative progressive press. We are supported only by small donations and do not accept advertising or corporate grants.
