Pacific Rim Whale Festival Society

The Pacific Rim Whale Festival is the largest festival on the West Coast of Vancouver Island spanning nine days and including over eighty events. The festival inspires, entertains and educates through engaging people in a celebration of our unique coastal traditions, environment and wildlife during the annual grey whale migration.

This community run festival marks the arrival of spring and the migration of 20,000 migrating grey whales along our shores. Events highlight our rich heritage and extraordinary coastal environment including Tofino, Ucluelet, and Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. We strive for a balance of events directed to a spectrum of people from different generations, backgrounds and economic positions. They include: culinary events, music, education, hands-on-learning, lectures, guided nature walks, children’s events, First Nations cultural events and much more.
