We are the largest schools employees union in California. We represent about 30,000 members working in public schools, including Los Angeles Unified School District, Torrance Unified School District, Lynwood Unified School District, and Los Angeles Community College District as well as educational workers at non-profit community agencies including Head Start and State Preschool programs. We are currently making the transition to an organizing model of representation and will be taking on the fight of winning health insurance coverage for thousands of our members in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
