Since its inception in 1988, Academia Superior de Idiomas has been a language school offering high quality Spanish classes to all of its foreign students at locations in Ecuador and Peru. Our vision has always been to provide an optimum level of Spanish learning that is unmatched anywhere in South America. We are one of the only Spanish schools in Peru providing a certification approved by the ministry of education on completion of your lessons.

We have made it a priority to ensure continuity of service. This has been accomplished by employing experienced teaching personnel and then enhancing their education with our own teaching methodology. For that very reason we have teachers who have been working with us for more than 20 years and all of our teachers are permanent employees who receive social insurance and pension. This allows us to work sustainably within the community and facilitates a superior level of teaching Spanish through ongoing preparation of our staff.

The student experience is paramount. What makes us unique is our commitment to making the entire process an adventure. We believe learning and discovery go hand in hand and strive to fulfill the individual and unique requirements of our students. We give them the opportunity to experience the culture of the country, gain knowledge of the people, and an appreciation of their traditions. We also offer combined study programs at a range of destinations with our sister schools across the continent.

Our students have the prospect to live and to learn in different indigenous communities in the Amazon Rain Forest, the Andean Highlands, or with typical host families in Peru and Ecuador. Our feeling is that students should not leave the country like a tourist, instead, they should be able to adapt to the outlook and culture of their hosts, like a member of the family or community. We attach special importance to sustainable cooperation, recognizing that this can be an additional benefit for our hosts, without being disruptive to their way of living, This effort is especially important while working with indigenous and traditional families or communities.

Academia Superior de Idiomas in Peru and Ecuador has had successful working relationships with more than 100 different social and ecological projects in both countries. Some of these cooperative efforts have been in place for more than 20 years, while others we have proudly initiated through joint efforts with municipal administrations, hospitals or other local institutions. We are ardent supporters of these social and ecological projects, with contributions in kind or simple money donations, in addition to providing supervision to our volunteers and students.

Academia Superior de Idiomas not only supports these projects but in most projects our staff takes the lead, assuming the major part of the organizational work, or in some cases, all of it. This level of coordination ensures good service to the community and enhanced cooperation between all involved parties. We do our very best to provide you with a comfortable learning atmosphere throughout your personal language course in Peru and Ecuador, which will allow you to meet your goals and achieve success. We have chosen innovative teaching tools such as city tours and conversational classes and personal learning programs, such as tandem partners to enrich the learning experience.

We offer the chance for you to have a home away from home during your whole stay abroad in Peru, as well as a home base during your travels throughout Latin America. For example we provide luggage storage, travel advice, and 24/7 support, in addition to helping you design your own fascinating travel plan through this amazing continent.
