Project Gettysburg León is a grass roots organization joining the people in the South Central Pennsylvania Region with the people of León, Nicaragua in a sister city relationship. Our goal is to promote friendship and global understanding between the people of our two countries through programs of personal exchange.
These programs include education about our Nicaraguan friends, intercultural sharing between communities, travel exchange and involvement in educational, medical, agricultural, nutritional, construction, and community development projects in the department of León. This sister city organization affirms a shared membership in one human family and a commitment to work for peace and justice.
