Established in 2015, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and North Quabbin (CAC) is an independent, nonprofit organization, that serves as the hub for responding to reports of child sexual abuse, serious physical abuse, and sexual exploitation.Further, the CAC provides a comprehensive array of evidence-based and trauma informed interventions to help children and families heal.
Accredited by the National Children’s Alliance, the CAC has worked with more than 900 children and families in Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region. CAC staff include advocates, mental health clinicians, and medical providers.
In 2024, the CAC received multi-year funding from the Children’s Trust of Massachusetts to work with youth serving organizations (YSOs) (i.e., schools, human service agencies, camps, sports programs, etc.) throughout the region to implement and/or strengthen prevention initiatives within YSOs.
