Jewish Outreach Institute

Established in 1987, the Jewish Outreach Institute (JOI) seeks to promote the Jewish continuity of interfaith couples, their families and children.

JOI's mission is driven by the fundamental belief that strengthening the connections between the nearly one million interfaith families and the Jewish community is essential to the survival of North American Jewry. We at JOI recognize that eighty percent of such families today are not connected to Jewish institutions. Our research indicates that successful outreach to the intermarried will result in making the Jewish community even stronger.
