360 Eats is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit mobile food service providing an innovative solution to bridge the gaps between food waste, food insecurity, and sustainability.
In Pinellas County, food waste is the second largest category of waste. Meanwhile, thousands of families and individuals are struggling with food insecurity. Our goal is to eradicate hunger and food waste as we know it by providing upwards of 20,000 nutritious and gourmet meals to those in need and rescue over 100,000 lbs of good food in Pinellas County each year.
How It Works
Saving Food:
The Saving Food program rescues good food from going to waste by collecting excess food from businesses, fellow organizations, and individuals by our mobile Food Rescue team and volunteers.
Sustain-A-Bowl:
Our Sustain-A-Bowl program gives surplus food new life in the form of nutritious and gourmet meals for those less fortunate. We work in partnership with a licensed commissary kitchen and professional chefs to prepare meals and then distribute the meals directly to those in need via our Sustain-A-Bowl food truck, a mobile gourmet soup kitchen.
Sprouting Food:
The Sprouting Food program ensures that donated food is used to its full potential by turning food scraps into compost to grow more food throughout affected communities. Partnerships with local community gardens allow us to fulfill our goal of a zero-waste system.
Culinary Cultivator:
To enhance food security in our community, we offer paid internships to individuals facing barriers to employment, giving them the chance to pursue their culinary dreams and secure a sustainable career. Over six months, these interns work closely with our talented chefs in a commercial kitchen and aboard our food truck, gaining the skills and experience needed to enter the workforce.
