Formed in 2005, the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is a skater-owned and operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and a membership-based athletic organization.
The WFTDA currently serves more than 400 leagues comprised of about 25,000 skaters and is governed by a member-elected Board of Directors. The WFTDA promotes and fosters the sport of women's flat track roller derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability, sportswomanship, and goodwill, and serves as the primary resource for athletes and spectators.
