2014 NURSING PROJECT OF PLANTAIN /BANANA, MORINGA OLEIFERA AND COACOA

We started the 2014 nursing project of plantain coacoa and moringa oleifera on the 26/12/2013 in other to fight against hunger.

THE PIF TECHNIQUE

Becuase of the low suckering power of platains and also becuase of the use by farmer's of contaminated plating materrial (weevels,nematodes),it has not been possible during several decades either to maintain old platains'farms over two years or to easily create new banana farmes.

An estimate of demand of plantain planting material in production zones in Cameroon give figures of at least 12 to 15 millions of suckers.Traditional teschniques of multiplication and some improved one ,all strongly reliable on climate conditions, have not permit to satisfy the identified demand.Through a novel technique created ,that is THE PIF TECHNIQUE it is possible to obtain mass production of claen planting materials out of field within three or four months period of the year.
