Mission

Teens ‘N Theater (TNT) is an after school program organized to keep youth off of the streets by engaging teenagers in theater and performing arts. As a youth ran organization (trained youth and young adults conducting classes and assistant directing), TNT strives to cultivate and nurture a desire and passion in today’s youth through acting, singing, and dancing through on-going training, classes, and live productions.

Whether a student is a seasoned performer or the stage is a new start, every student plays a vital role in TNT; therefore, all students are accepted, developed, and grows an admiration for the performing arts. Each teen will conclude his or her year with the knowledge of how a play or musical is produced and what it takes to really be a competitor in the world of performing arts.

Vision

TNT plans to reach thousands of teens of various backgrounds. Our goal is to provide teens with an outlet to express and/or discover their passions and/ or talents for the performing arts. Using theater as the facilitator, TNT molds teenagers into productive citizens through structure, discipline, and a sense of community.

TNT is organized to be led by its youth giving them the opportunity of leadership and accountability. The organization is designed to bring together community members, youth, college students, etc. through community service which will be offered through the teaching of classes and during show production.
