We are a community of hope, justice and healing in the heart of Oakland, providing at-risk elders and preschoolers with counseling, shelter, nutrition and comprehensive services they need on their path to personal fulfillment and self-reliance. St. Mary’s Center (SMC) has served multi-racial, multi-ethnic poverty-level seniors and young children in West Oakland since 1973.
