Educational Development Group

The Educational Development Group's mission is to prepare new immigrant families for success in American society by providing them with the language skills and cultural awareness to access educational and employment opportunities. To fulfill our mission, the cornerstone of our program is training in English communication and reading and writing skills.

Volunteer Opportunities

Educational Development Group (EDG)is launching an Accelerated English Program this Fall. It needs volunteers who will work with a group of 2 to 3 students. The volunteers will help the students practice the vocabulary, grammar rules, or sentence structure learned that day. They will engage students in both controlled and spontaneous conversation and bring students to field trips to area libraries, supermarkets, parks, transit systems etc.
