Hospice care provides sensitivity, support, and care for individuals who have a life-threatening illness and/or are in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice provides medical, social, emotional and spiritual care for patients and their families. Cullman Regional Hospice, a non-profit organization, became our community’s first hospice program in 1986 and joined the Cullman Regional Medical Center family in 1998. This relationship means that patients in the care of Cullman Regional Hospice may be admitted to Cullman Regional for symptom management, respite care or imminence of death without being discharged from the Hospice program.
