Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre

Historic Conishead Priory is home to Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre.

Visitors to the Centre can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the romantic gothic house set in fine gardens and extensive woodlands that lead down to the shores of Morecambe Bay.

The centre offers a wide range of accommodation including single, twin and dormitory rooms. You can also visit for the day or come on a working visit to experience life in a residential community.

The spiritual community at Manjushri KMC is a modern day example of how putting Buddha’s teachings into practice creates a peaceful and harmonious environment that is a pleasure for all who visit.

All residents contribute to the life of the community through their voluntary work. This includes cooking, cleaning, gardening, organizing meditation courses, and running the shop and cafes. Residents also work in the reception, art studios and offices supporting the many activities on site.
