Founded in 2009, the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) is the leading international think tank on business and human rights. IHRB’s mission is to shape policy, advance practice and strengthen accountability in order to make respect for human rights part of everyday business. In order to achieve its objectives, IHRB works through its geographic, thematic and regional programmes with public and private sector partners in both developing and developed countries. In doing so, IHRB has established and developed regional centres for the promotion of responsible business practice in Yangon, Myanmar and Bogota, Colombia and has standing representation in Qatar, Switzerland, Thailand, UK and USA.
