Medical Education Exchange Team

MEET (Medical Education Exchange Teams) facilitates international collaborations between professionals to improve health sciences education and patient care in developing areas of the world.'

MEET volunteers have been most active in S.Vietnam since 2009. We are partnered with MEET-UK, who joins with members from the US primarily for Pediatric Surgery and health science teaching in the hospitals and universities that serve the people of the Mekong Delta. We bring 17 different Medical Specialty professionals, who teach and consult with students, faculty, and staff. Our volunteers value the positive relations and making a positive and meaningful contribution to the welfare of the country. We have introduced Mental Health/SW, Palliative Care, Nutrition , Dentistry, Nursing, Radiology, NeuroSurgery, Cardiology, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Family Medicine, to name a few. We have expanded our work to include 3 Universities, and 6 hospitals, and several community organizations serving the poor and having health/mental health challenges. MEET is in discussion to expand to other countries as well.
