Tracy's Kids -- a flourishing, 23 year-old charity -- is looking for a new Business Director. The part-time position offers flexible hours that can be determined by the candidate.
Our 501.c.3 helps young cancer patients and their families cope with the emotional stress and trauma imposed by the disease and its treatment. We are a nationally recognized leader in the field of Art Therapy, which our Masters-trained professionals employ to ensure that the children and families we serve are emotionally equipped to fight cancer and prepared for life when they are disease-free.
We provide our programming free-of-charge, and serve the majority of children in the DC-metro area who are being treated for cancer or a blood disorder. The program – which began at Georgetown University Hospital’s Lombardi Cancer Center in 1991 and is based on the model developed there – is also offered in conjunction with Children’s National Hospital, D.C., the Oncology Programs at Inova Children's and Schar Cancer Institute, Fairfax, Va., Methodist Children’s Hospital, San Antonio, TX, New York Presbyterian Hospital, NYC, Children’s Hospital at Sinai, Baltimore, and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Bethesda, MD. -- which enables us to help military dependents being treated at Walter Reed.
