OpenWorm Foundation

OpenWorm is a world-wide organization of scientists, engineers, software developers and other talented contributors building the world’s first virtual organism. Embracing the principles of open-source data, codes and models, OpenWorm is an example for scientific development. The Foundation was created with the belief that modelling a simple roundworm nervous system into a computer is a first step toward fully understanding complex systems and, eventually, the human brain.
