Relational Culture Institute (RCI) is committed to developing a regional grassroots leadership network of urban and rural congregation-based community organizations in the central and south San Joaquin Valley of California. RCI has established and is staffing PICO National Network (www.piconetwork.org) affiliated projects such as Faith In Community in Fresno County, a nonprofit partnership of 20 congregations and community organizations, and has initiated sponsoring committee development work with groups of congregations in Visalia (Tulare County) and Bakersfield (Kern County) with the expectation of PICO affiliation. Intensive and coordinated organizing activities are also in progress with agricultural worker families and congregations in multiple rural communities in north Tulare and west Fresno Counties.
