  • Misión

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Monmouth County is a non-profit organization that advocates for abused and neglected children, within the court system, that are in out of home placement. CASA of Monmouth County provides a corps of trained volunteers that work to ensure that needed services and assistance are made available to children in placement while helping them move toward safe and permanent homes.

    Acerca de

After completing a 30-hour training program, volunteers are sworn in by a Monmouth County Family Court Judge. A CASA volunteer is then assigned to an abuse or neglect case by the Court. After conducting a thorough investigation of the case and interviewing those involved, he/she reports this information to the Court and makes recommendations in the best interest of the child. CASA volunteers come from all walks of life (educational, ethnic, and social). Many work full time and no prior experience is necessary. On average a CASA volunteer devotes 5 to 15 hours a month to their particular case.
