kijufi -Landesverband Kinder- und Jugendfilm Berlin e.V.

„Get off the couch – pick up the camera !“ is the motto of kijufi - Landesverband Kinder- und Jugendfilm Berlin (Berlin association of kid’s and youth film). With a lot of fun , young people’s favorite media and a lot of professional know how kijufi gives the kids and youth  the skills they need in our mediatised world.

kijufi has been realising film and media projects with kids, youth and young adults since more than 25 years. Our aim is to improve film and media literacy as well as social, creative and artistic skills amongst our target groups by making hands-on film and media projects. What kijufi particularly stands for is an action- and product-oriented approach where children and young people , young adults and multipliers develop an open eye and sharp ear by taking in their hands the camera itself, the microphone or a smart phone and realising their own movies or other media products.

What sets us apart is our approach that brings together pedagogues, filmmakers and other artists to develop and realise new and innovative concepts on how to teach film and media literacy.

Our projects always connect the imparting of cultural education and media literacy  in consideration of the children’s and young people’s life-world.
