WHAT IS SATTYA?
Sattya Media Arts Collective is a Kathmandu-based arts organization and community space dedicated to creativity and collaboration. Since 2011, it has been a place where artists, photographers, activists, storytellers, and learners come together through workshops, projects, and events.
Rooted in the spirit of inclusivity and DIY ethics, Sattya aims to inspire people, build community and support artistic expression.
ABOUT
In 2011, the idea for Sattya Collective was born out of the need for a creative space and community in Kathmandu, Nepal. Since then, it has been working to shape and cultivate the arts and social engagement through workshops, film screenings, meetups, and countless other events.
VALUES
Sattya is participation based, strongly rooted in the spirit of volunteerism and inclusiveness, providing opportunities for people from all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels.
We value:
- DIY and DIT (do it together) ethics: dignity of labor!
