help2read

help2read is a child literacy organisation operating in the Western Cape, South Africa. The organisation recruits, trains and places volunteers in primary schools to help children develop a love of reading. Volunteers are provided with a book box containing fun books, games and other materials. During the one-on-one sessions children are encouraged and motivated by the trained volunteer and have the opportunity to become confident readers in a relaxed environment.
