Bellevue Youth Choirs

The mission of Bellevue Youth Choirs is to create a joyful, inclusive musical community for youth by providing exemplary musicianship training and exciting performance opportunities.

Bellevue Youth Choirs (BYC) is a nonprofit youth choral program serving over 200 singers ages 4–18+ across the greater Eastside. We create a joyful, inclusive musical community where young people develop vocal excellence, confidence, and a deep sense of belonging.

Our programs are designed to meet singers at every stage—from early childhood music exploration to advanced choral training and performance. Through high-quality instruction and meaningful performance opportunities, choristers build musicianship, discipline, teamwork, and expressive artistry.

At BYC, we believe music education should be accessible and transformative. We are committed to expanding access so that cost is not a barrier to participation, and we actively work to foster a culture of inclusion, belonging, and cultural responsiveness across our organization.

As we enter a new phase of strategic growth, BYC is strengthening its organizational infrastructure, increasing community partnerships, and broadening access to our programs throughout the Eastside. Our work is guided by a commitment to artistic excellence, youth development, and community impact.

We serve a diverse community of families, and our choristers come from a wide range of backgrounds, schools, and lived experiences. Together, they form a vibrant, supportive community connected through the shared experience of making music.

BYC is led by a dedicated artistic and administrative team and supported by an engaged, working Board of Directors committed to long-term sustainability, strong governance, and meaningful community engagement.
