Mixed Precipitation

Mixed Precipitation’s mission is to present high quality theatrical events with artists working across disciplines, using the live arts to inspire social engagement. Entering its fifth season, each summer we present our signature event, the picnic operetta. We have presented unique adaptations of classic operas by the likes of Mozart, Handel, Beethoven and Gluck. In addition to presenting classical music, we serve our audiences a tasting menu inspired by the music and fantastical story. We’ve performed throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota, reaching audiences young and old. Bringing together classical music, horticulture, food, and storytelling into a celebration of the urban eco-system, the Picnic Operetta is acknowledged as a new summer tradition.

Performing in community gardens, orchards and urban farms throughout the Metro Area, the Picnic Operetta performances have become a community tradition celerating harvest, the urban eco system and community greenspace.
