Mississippians Against Human Trafficking

Founded in 2018, Mississippians Against Human Trafficking (MSAHT) a 501 (3)(c) was created to be the state coalition unites those committed to combating human trafficking in Mississippi. To effectively address the issue of human trafficking, MSAHT offers a wide range of educational resources, advocacy efforts, and community initiatives in Mississippi. MSAHT’s primary goal is to be the states Coalition for human trafficking, raise awareness about human trafficking incidents and provide essential support services, with the aim of aiding survivors in their recovery process. 

As a grassroots organization, MSAHT is dedicated to actively combatting trafficking through various means, including public speaking engagements, video creation, and establishing a robust online presence. Additionally, MSAHT offers financial assistance to prevent revictimization of trafficked persons and those high risk of trafficking when a financial crisis arises. The coalition's efforts encompass raising awareness about trafficking within the community, providing support to victims during their recovery process, and fostering cooperation with law enforcement agencies, victim services organizations, and state entities.
