AmeriCorps VISTA at West Virginia University

The VISTA Collaborative at West Virginia University supports a cohort of dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA members who are passionate about promoting higher education as an essential aspect of the path out of poverty.

The VISTA Program at West Virginia University is leading the way in developing higher education as a hub for the AmeriCorps VISTA program. In accordance with out land-grant mission, we are striving to develop targeted, unique collaborations that support innovative student learning, leverage resources within the university, and develop engagement programming to improve outcomes in the community and strengthen student success. Through collective impact, these collaborations will create a larger, more sustainable impact on poverty in West Virginia. Additionally, the initiative aims to increase best practice community-based learning that will promote high impact pedagogy and retention.
