WEST AFRICA DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY, INC.

West Africa Development Society (WADS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in New York, USA, in April 2010 to mobilize resources to address the severe endemic problems of social, political, and economic underdevelopment prevalent in this region. The region has a huge potential for meaningful socio-economic and development.

We were established to provide vital development assistance to needy and vulnerable groups, local organizations, communities, and individuals in different parts of West Africa to enable them improve their livelihoods. The society is dedicated to reducing widespread poverty among largely marginalized, under-privileged, and under developed communities in the region to give them better opportunities and hope for self-advancement through the philosophy of self reliance.

Our vision is to alleviate poverty and hunger, to provide improved social welfare, and to fight the general economic and social underdevelopment rooted in West Africa.
