    Acerca de

The Festival is organized as an incorporated 501(c)3 agency, entirely staffed by volunteers. The organizing committee meets at least monthly, with the intensity of the planning and fund-raising activities varying over the course of the year. We do use compensated specialist services where we cannot find volunteers (e.g. entertainers, electricians, judges, and so forth)

The usual programs within the Festival include: Facilities, Sheepdog Trials, Highland Dance, British Cars, Children's Activities, Entertainment (including the Ceilidh), Pipe Bands, Athletics, Advertising/Marketing, Decorations, Vendors, Re-enactors, Volunteers, and Clans. Additional activities vary year to year, but this year includes Rugby and a Shetland Sheep show.

The Festival itself occurs over the second weekend in September at the 4H Fairgrounds in Columbus, Indiana.
