The mission of the X PRIZE Foundation is to create radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity. We change the way the world thinks about its problems and their solutions. People are tired of stagnant and stalled progress toward solutions to our world’s most pressing and complex problems. We believe that challenges properly framed and inspired can unleash progress against the seemingly intractable challenges of our time. Recently, the X PRIZE Foundation created the first private race to space and gave birth to a new industry with dramatic technological and social opportunities. Following the success of the $10M ANSARI X PRIZE for spaceflight, we are now focused on the creation of prizes in other areas including energy, genetics, environment, medicine & the social arena.
