The Handa Foundation is a non-religious, non-political, not-for-profit organization with the mission of building hospitals and schools within the ASEAN community. The Handa Emergency Hospital exemplifies the focus that is intended for the hospitals and schools that will be a part of the Handa Foundation:
- Function in close cooperation with the Royal Government of Cambodia
- Have significant and immediate impact on their communities
- Designed to be entirely self sustaining within two years
- Provide training opportunities for Khmer professionals
- Serve a disadvantaged population with the country
