Walama Restoration Project

Acerca de

The Walama Restoration Project (WRP) is an environmental nonprofit organization (501(C)(3) EIN 931321979) that has been active in the Willamette Valley and Western Cascades since 2001. We promote the conservation of our natural resources through our educational program with local schools, "From Seed to Habitat", and stewardship opportunities and contracting services to restore and maintain native habitats.

WRP is currently working toward restoring native prairie, wetland, riparian, and woodland habitats in the Southern Willamette Valley in the vicinity of Eugene and Corvallis, and in the Western Cascades within the Willamette and Mount Hood National Forests. Educational programs and stewardship opportunities include plant identification, native seed collection, plant propagation, native bee surveys, monarch and milkweed surveys, orienteering, and mapping. Our contracting services include mechanical thinning, prescribed burns, and revegetation. We only use of nonchemical methods of invasive weed control in all of our projects.

Community involvement is essential to fulfilling our mission and we invite you to participate.
