Harrisburg Academy

Founded in 1784, Harrisburg Academy is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school with a diverse and qualified student body of 420 students in preschool through 12th grade. The mission of Harrisburg Academy is to offer an academically challenging and globally minded liberal arts education that encourages each student to reach his or her full potential. Since 2007, Harrisburg Academy has been an IB World School. Our philosophy is to promote the intellectual, personal, social, aesthetic, and physical development of our students. In particular, we emphasize the growth of a love for lifelong learning, self-confidence, respect for others, responsibility to the larger community, self-expression, and physical well-being.
