Central Wyoming College's English as a Second Language Department [ESL] offers English classes at a low cost to speakers of other languages. Students range from beginning to advanced levels. The classes incorporate speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. Other areas of focus within the program include Civics/U.S. history, current events, field trips, and global issues. During the summer months, specialized classes are offered in the areas of technology, writing, and English through film.The general social mission is to equalize immigrants by improving their language and cultural skills, improving their opportunities for employment and social advancement.
