Sinking Ship Productions

We are a Brooklyn-based theater company dedicated to the unusual and the surprising. We often choose material that is not overtly theatrical, and take particular delight in finding unexpected ways to tell the story. We draw from a wide variety of techniques, including puppetry, object manipulation, music and movement, to create distinctly visual work.

Our two full length productions to date, Powerhouse (2009) and There Will Come Soft Rains (2008), premiered at the New York International Fringe Festival. Both played to sold-out houses and extended their runs in the FringeNYC Encores Series. Both won critical acclaim, and recognition from the festival for "Outstanding Ensemble" (Powerhouse) and "Outstanding Direction" (There Will Come Soft Rains).

Our bi-monthly evening of puppetry and music, Puppet Playlist, has sold out almost every performance since it debuted in 2009.
